“Are Aquaponics a Sustainable Alternative to Conventional Agriculture Methods in New York City”

Edenworks, an aquaponic farm in East Williamsburg, expects to produce around 150,000 pounds of leafy greens in a 12,000-square-foot space. For reference, Brooklyn Grange, the world’s largest rooftop soil farm operating on two rooftops in Brooklyn, grows about 50,000 pounds of produce in a total of 108,000 square feet. That’s 70 percent more produce in about five percent of the space.http://www.cityfarmer.info/2016/11/26/are-aquaponics-a-sustainable-alternative-to-conventional-agriculture-methods-in-new-york-city/#more-313108
